Why do girls always say this about players?

Girls always say that they are repulsed by player types with glittery, flashy personalities. But I have this buddy who is a TOTAL player with a glittery, flash personality and he ALWAYS has every girl around practically eating out of his hand. It's all tricks and tactics to get girls to sleep with him. I can't believe so many girls are dumb enough to fall for it time after time. And he is NOT good looking or tall. He even has a beer gut. But it's like he has a constant frieght train of girls into and out of his bedroom. So why do girls say one thing but behave the complete opposite?
