Would the Kitchener Rangers have loved 2 break the Memorial Cup?

I've seen the video of Chris Bruton, the Spokane Chiefs cap'n have the Memorial Cup collapse in his hands on MSNBC.com & FoxSports.com; I can watch 3 videos of it on YouTube if I want. Now I'm not as familar w/ WHL hockey as I am w/ ECHL hockey, 4 that's where my Bakersfield Condors play. But would Kitchener have wanted 2 drop the trophy if it meant winning? Is it worth LOL'ing @ Spokane 2 lighten up the mood in the locker room? & also, could the trophy breaking in two spell a omen for the Chiefs?
