Where is the aerial located on a BMW 318ti Compact sport???

I have a BMW 318ti Compact sport "V" reg, i have installed a new stereo and plugged the aerial cable/coax in, the reception changed and is ok, but compared to the reception i was getting on my original built in stereo, this is rubbish. Do i need a booster? where is the car's aerial located please?
