Job suggestions for down the road?

i want to go into zoology. primarily the primatology branch, but i would be in school for a good ten years before i got my doctorate and became a respectable, well paid zoologist. what other jobs relating to that field or just animals could i have while i'm still in school? it will need to be a job that pays pretty decently. i'll need to be able to live (very cheaply i know) off the salary and make some payments on student loans as this many years of schooling will be mivly expensive. now that i've brought it up, it would also be really great if you could suggest some ways to pay for school. i'll have to go to community college for a couple years to bring up my GPA and if i do well there i can get various small scholarships and grants. the same goes for whatever university i attend. if i do well i can get some money for graduate school. aside from some grants and scholarships the only other options i can see are the military, the peace corp, and student loans. i'll need to borrow money no matter what. anything else i should know about besides winning the lottery? i'd really appreciate any help at all!

There is this Asian kid at my school that gets on my nerves constantly and I can't stop him from bothering me. neither! the blonde color won't do anything and the lightener will destroy it after using a color remover on it. i would recommend going back to your previous color until you can go to a professional who knows what they're doing. red is one of the hardest colors to pull out of hair and if you are really wanting to go blonde it will take even a stylist several steps to get to an ash blonde. ash is a cool tone the opposite of red which is a warm tone. so i'm saying, either go to a stylist or reconsider your decision to go blonde.

It's a little hernia, A lot of puppies are born with little hernia's. Most of the time they'll go away as they mature. It can be removed by a vet, usually just for cosmetic reasons. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts getting bigger. You could push it inward and hold it in for a while each day 5 to 10 min. a day and this should help it go away.

First doctors appointment at 15 and a half weeks..is that bad?

You're fine. I didn't get to the doc until 11 weeks, they also told me I had to come back for a sonogram, but they ended up scheduling me one when I got there for that same day just a different time. I had time to go eat and then come back for my sonogram... lol maybe see if they can do that. They might be able to tell if its a boy or girl. If they wait another week or more they will almost 100% be able to tell as long as its in the right position.

I'm 13 years old and for the last day I have been throwing up and having terrible diarrhea! What should i do?

I went out to eat at a sports bar and had diarrhea for the next hour. Eventually i stopped and was fine for the rest of the day. Later on that evening I woke up only to sprint to the bathroom and vomit 4 times. I carried on with the night only to throw up 12 more times. The diarrhea from earlier then added to my misfortune. My parents say i'm trying to grow up too quickly but i'm 17, what can I do?

Omg it's like as if you're the boy version of me!, my parents are exactly the same. They give me the most ridiculous times to come home meaning I normally have to spend about 3 or 4 hours with my friends. The more I get invited to parties, the more of a struggle it is for them to let me go. Whenever I tell them that the times they tell me to come home is too early or i'm not being treated unfairly their argument is '' we care more than other parents''. While there isn't a question in here I will say my piece. I agree that the Dems have not offered any kind of solution to the problem, but neither have the Republicans. I served in Iraq for a year and I can say with a high degree of certainty that what we are doing over there is not working. We need to try and understand that the military has done their job by getting rid of Saddam. There is no feasible strategy that is going to be developed at the Pentagon because this is no longer anything but an economic drain on the US that is creating more terrorists with out presence in the Middle East. This is an Iraqi problem that needs to be handled by Iraqi's. We have bought them the opportunity to pull their county out of the crapper and they need to step up and take it.

Traumatizing Events & Dreams. Help Please?

As much as we push things into the back of our mind during the day, they are free to creep back at night into our dreams. It's a hard situation with your boyfriend because he needs to deal with this in his waking life if he is to get any sleep. The only thing I can suggest is going to see a counselor to talk about what happened. If he has already done this then unfortunately however hard it may be it will need to accept that what ever happened, happened, even if it wasn't right etc. It's acceptance that whatever happened was then, but he is a new person now and if he can almost imagine his life is a book and that the past was a previous chapter. He will now turn the page to the new chapter.

I'm 15, and it took a great amount of persuading to get my rather large, over-protective parents to let me date an 18 year old, who I've grown to love and respect more than I thought I would. I tried to lie at first about it being a hickey and she told me to either tell the truth or face consequences, so I told the truth, and she's throwing a fit, and I swear to God she's going to make it impossible for me to see him....Isn't she kind of a hypocrite? Act like she's gonna be all accepting if I tell the truth and then punish me when I do? Should she not allow me to see this boy? I need some serious advice....Please, no "You're too young to date" or "He's too old for you".....I understand where you'd be coming from but I've already heard this, I don't care if he's a few years older, love overcomes age, and don't tell me it isn't love either, I've had to put up with alot of crap from people to date him. Why cant i debug my tamagotchi?

This pain during pregnancy!!?

Okay I will try to explain this type of pain as well as I possibly can. I guess it's my pubic bone? But I will give an example, say if you see something on the floor and you want to scoot it over without leaning down..so you use your foot...Well when I do that I get this pain in my crotch area. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and at night when i make my rounds to the bathroom it hurts really badly to get up because of that pain in that area...It never hurts that badly during the day but at night it really hurts...Has anyone experienced this during their pregnancy? is this normal

For two days I was having dreams about my ex girlfriend so what does it mean?

So for two nights I had continuous dreams about my ex girlfriend. I'm a girl by the way and I was with her for 8 months. In my first dream we were birds and there were two other birds there with us, almost as if they were trying to court her?..I was just watching and I can literally feel time ping by and those birds disappearing by us. In the end it was only the two of us and she moved closer to me and said something but i couldn't really hear what she said..it was almost like she was saying it without verbally telling me...i think she said something like.."i finally know now thats its you.."..and in my dream we ended up together again..on the second night i had three dreams of her..this time we were humans. honestly i dont remember what happened in those three dreams but the ending was always the same..we would end up together realizing that we were good for each other. i loved my girlfriend very much but she ended up having her feelings fade for me, developed feelings for someone else, and didn't want to be in a relationship also because of her family problems. She told me in reality that no matter how much time has p she will never be the one for me, so having those reoccurring dreams really twisted my thoughts around a lot. Since at that point I had given up the hope of ever being with her again and had practically took her out of my entire life. So what can these dreams mean?..and it's odd after having these dreams I went to a fortune teller and got my fortune read..I asked the fortune teller if my ex was ever going to come back and she told me yes...i was not expecting that response i was actually prepared to accept the idea that she would never come back. and later i asked her who was i going to end up with in the end?..and the fortune teller told me that there would be two people i would have to pick from..one of them will be a Caucasian girl who would love me very much and the other person would be my ex..:/...at that point i was even more shocked that my ex was going to be one of the people to choose from in the end...i finally asked the fortune teller who should i choose?..and she told me my ex...because when she comes back..she would have a totally new mindset of what love really is..and i would be the only person she wants in her life...and hearing that left me speechless..i also asked her why did my ex leave me?..and she told me.."because you loved her too much..you gave her everything and she took you for granted.."..and that part is true..very true..i loved her very much..and did everything for her..all my family members and friends told me that too..><..and i remember asking the fortune teller when will she come back?..and did she ever loved me?..and the fortune teller told me..."she loved you very much...and she will come back into your life in 6 months"..and again i was speechless...i mean here i was forcing myself to move on killing all my hopes and dreams of ever being with her again...and there's this woman who tells me otherwise...my friends..and family members..and even my ex's friends...dont think we will ever happen again..and i guess even she felt that way too..but at one time during this whole disaster i had that hope...and i killed it because of what everyone said...but this old spanish fortune teller is telling me the opposite of what everyone believes...so i thought it was interesting and a bit mind boggling...what do you guys think about all this?...honestly a lot of my friends have asked me what would i do knowing this?..and i told them.."nothing"...i wouldnt do anything to contact her again..because i wanted to spend time for myself once again..so anyways..yes..any thoughts on all this?..:]

Yes. and I hate to keep bringing this up but the same thing happened repeatedly during the former Administration when ratings dropped in his favor after 911... Normal wear and tear is just that what would happen if people live in a unit for one year, there will be wear on the carpet, normal, there will be stains on the walls, normal and if you clean before turning over the apartment you should get all of your deposit back, use a video camera with date and time on it and doent all aspects of the condition because it sounds like you may have to take her to small claims court. Ask her for a walk through before you release it to her and do the video taping while she is there, if she has any complaints you can address them at that time and if she refuses it will benefit you if you have to take her to court, it might be to your advantage to give her a copy of the video so that she will know that you intend to hold her to the conditions of the lease.~

Situation with bratty older child at the park?

My husband and I take our 2 year old son and 3 1/2 year olds to the park just about every day and it never ceases to surprise me the lack of parenting done by so many people. We have had kids hit/push ours, take things from them, push them out of the way for the swings/slides, tell them they are not allowed to swing in the swing next to them. Does a vacuum truck usually use the pump to create vacuum in the tank, or air flow to suck up things?

I'm looking at vacuum trucks, and wondering about the function of the tank. the suction hose runs into the tank, then a few shutoffs and filters, to the pump. If the suction hose was blocked by a valve, the pump would create a vacuum in the tank. If said valve was open, the pump would just create airflow which would suck from the suction hose. Do you suck things up with the truck by creating a vacuum, therefore creating a pressure difference so the tank tries to balance the pressure by taking things up through the hose? Or do you just suck it up by running the pump and using it like a standard vacuum cleaner, where the tank is kind of like a vacuum bag?

I just got a new parakeet and I am wondering if i need to guide or show it where to eat and drink in the cage?

I just brought it home today and the food and water containers have little ledges for him to sit on while eating or drinking? Does he know this on his own, because he hasnt eaten or drunken yet as far as I know. There is also a hanging treat, a cuddle bone, and an edible tree branch perch for him that he hasnt seemed to show any interest in. Does he know what these are for on his own and just not interested or do I need to show him somehow? The little food and water dishes are kind of lower down, would it be easier for him to hop up from the ground in his cage up to it or to hop down from one of the wooden perches. Question for service technicians: My 1999 Dodge Neon leaks oil...?

I have replaced the oil pan gasket and the oil pan. The shop that did the work had to re-do the oil pan gasket because it was not done correctly and continued to leak. The technician told me that he "really made sure" that the gasket was in tight and even glued it in there. I was told that everything was fixed and that I should NOT have anymore oil leaks. I am still leaking oil, so I took the car back in. This time, they say that the rear main seal is leaking and they mysteriously don't have the tool needed to fix it. It seems strange to me that I was told I wouldn't have anymore leaks, yet a week after they work on it, the seal starts leaking. Is this just an issue of the car being higher mileage or is it possible that they caused damage to the rear main seal when they worked on the oil pan and oil pan gasket?

Why hasn't my rosemary grown at all?

Hi all, my dad who is 62 suffers from type 2 diabetes. His blood sugar level went down dangerously low on monday night, and he was hallucinating, fitting on the bed and very very confused, crying etc. Ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital. They gave him a glucose drip through iv, but it dropped again last night, so they are continuing to monitor him. He is talking normally now but his voice is a little funny. He is also crying when he is talking to me, something i've never seen him do in my 29 years. He isn't like this normally. I was talking to the diabetic nurse in the hospital today, and she said she is going to have a chat with his doctors in the morning, as his response is kind of slow. Like when he is talking etc. He also is crying unexpectedly like if he is telling me something about regular things, he just bursts out crying. His grandchild visited him today, and when he made my dad laugh, he laughed but then it turned into crying. The nurse said he is like someone who has had a type of stroke. Is this possible? And have what i have described here sound like it?? And if it was one, will his personality always be like this? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much.

How can people complain about the quality of public education without considering teacher salaries?

Does anyone believe that we can hire highly effective teachers with the current teacher salary schedules? let alone math and science teachers? We complain about public schools and lacking quality teachers, and yet we pay teachers very little. Then we complain about being unable to fill math and science positions knowing full well that the private sector offers almost double the salary. Is it not obvious that (in general), we cannot expect to entice the best teachers with the lowest salaries? (You get what you pay for.)

Help with nightmares?

my brother in laws daughter is 4 years old and wakes up 2/3 times during the night with nightmares, she has herself scared of bedtime because she is terrified of having a bad drean, resulting in her having bad dreams. this is an ongoing thing for a year or two, she hasnt had a tramatic experience and is generally happy. although cranky at times due to lack of sleep i guess. does anyone have any suggestions on how they can help their daughter sleep better its heartbreaking to see how tired and understandibly frustated they are.

Supervised visits changing to ???

My children's mother has only supervised visits for 4 hours each Saturday due to her unstability and perpetual drug abuse. I know that she can have the visitation re-evaluated at any time. Their mother has been in and out of their lives since mid-2004. During her 4 hour visits, she continually has her friends, other children to keep them occupied and boyfriend over istead of focusing on them. She doesn't take her full visitation take most weekends and makes excuses on why she can't take them the other weekends. The supervisor of their visits is the lady she lives with now and she doesn't do a very good job but nobody else wants to deal with their mother. My question is this: What would typically be the next step after supervised visits for 4 hours a week? (unsupervised for 4 hours or more, supervised for more than 4 hours) Their mother doesn't have their best interest in mind and hangs out with a bad crowd for the most part so I am very nervous about their safety.

I switched to iced tea. It helped because I still got a small amount of caffeine, and I was able to start sweet and gradually reduce the sugar content. Plus you will find when you brew your own it is a lot cheaper. My favorite iced is green tea, but if I'm making a gallon or more I sometimes will take one bag of Constant Comment by Bigelow mixed with a few bags of Lipton. I like mine pretty strong. Yummy. Make sure you measure how much sugar you use and try gradually reducing the amount. If you are making a batch at a time, try mixing in the sugar while it is still hot, then you can just stick it in the fridge and pour it out ready to go. It may seem like a lot of work the first few times but once you get your rhythm down, you will find it is no big deal to add it to your daily routine. Good luck!

Honestly either blue buffalo or fosters and smith it's a lot better than beneful. They are more natural and there probably wouldn't be any food allergies for your dogs. Plus they are better quality products. They are premium compared to low grade. Dogs are more likely to have or develop food allergies with beneful because it has corn and flour in it. Plus beneful has a lot more unhealthy products in it that should not be added to dog food. It's a good thing that your switching dog foods.

Engine mod/replacement?

i have a 2002 PT cruiser. laugh at me later, i loved the car. but my engine is prety much shot. needless to say i was careless in a situation where i should have used beter jedgement. but i'm looking forward to making it more of a hot rod once i get he money for a new engine. and i've targeted the 3.4L LQ1 to throw in it, since the motor is designed for front wheel drive cars. everything i've read on it says the motor is "tall" now my Pt's 4 cyl was pretty frickin big, but this engine is a full cubic inch larger. could the 3.4l be mounted in the PT with minimal structural mods?

Brain activity after an induced coma??

My friend just came out of an induced coma. He was in a pretty bad wreck. He is expected to make a full recovery because he is so young and healthy...but I am questioning his state of being at this moment. He is acting very different. Is this a side effect of the coma they put him in or could he possibly have some brain damage?? ....or what I'm trying to ask is..is it normal to act odd after coming out of an induced coma. He fought with the doctors and even tried jumping out of his hospital bed.

ok so i went to an open gym today which is like a practice before u tryout for that team.... i thought they would run drills and that but not at all.... the made group and scrimmaged group against group but u only played one certain position wen he asked in the beginning.... i said middle and he left me play it but sum people he was yelling at them saying they too short.... so we start played and this is about techinque and he expects us to like already no where we r supposed move on the court.... but its diff for every team... so i play middle... going up by the net to block when he on the other teams side and going to the ten foot line right when the ball come over and try to get the ball after the set.... we didnt really get much of a chance to play that much... he picked the best people from each group and it wasnt me... but i noticed people who even had that teams shirt on didnt get piked either... so they play and at the end he points to a girl ajnd says like shes the best one here.... i thought that was kinda weird... so i go to him and say thank you and he says your welcome and wait u need to work ojn moving back and forth and backing away from the net when your hitting but your hit and approach are good... er sumthing like that... idk...i feel like he already piked his team pretty much by picking the best people.... i really needgood advice and tips plz!!! thx so muchh!!!!
