First doctors appointment at 15 and a half weeks..is that bad?

You're fine. I didn't get to the doc until 11 weeks, they also told me I had to come back for a sonogram, but they ended up scheduling me one when I got there for that same day just a different time. I had time to go eat and then come back for my sonogram... lol maybe see if they can do that. They might be able to tell if its a boy or girl. If they wait another week or more they will almost 100% be able to tell as long as its in the right position.
